There are three choices of room and the website provides an insight for each with a video which really helps, as many hotels just upload images of their rooms taken at ridiculous angles to make them look huge!? We opted for the Superior Room. The room was extremely spacious as was the bathroom and I absolutely loved the decor, everything finished off immaculately and it fit in with the building perfectly, with the open exposed brick ceiling and colour scheme. Ok I don't want to criticise BUT my only issue was the lighting; I know they were aiming for the minimal, modern look but it was so hard to get ready with only two lamps and two lights by the bed, I think I stressed Declan out by getting him to try and plug the lamps in at different locations in the room (sorry) so I could successfully curl my hair. Also, it's not the most central location but if you order a local taxi to town or back it was only around £4. Other than that I could not fault it, I wish we could have stayed for longer.
On the evening we went to Salt House Tapas and it was an absolute dream. Give me sangria and tapas and I'm yours!!! I would say with confidence it's the best tapas In the UK I've been to yet! I always struggle knowing how many dishes/plates to get but on this occasion we did not hold back...and somehow made room for dessert.
Other than that we spent our days exploring the city..having some prosecco stops..and went to the Tate Modern and Albert Dock. I will definately be returning to Liverpool, maybe in the Summer!
